Delete Your Account & Data
You can permanently delete your Yakuru account and the health data associated with it at any time. Deletion from the app is free, takes effect immediately, and requires no phone call or explanation.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open the Yakuru Ring app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open the You tab and tap Data & privacy.
- Tap “Delete All My Data” — the red row under Danger Zone, at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm. A dialog headed “Delete All Your Data?” shows exactly what is erased and what is retained; tap Delete Everything. Your account and data are deleted straight away and you are signed out.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, send us a deletion request. Fill this in and it will open your email app with the request ready to send — or write to privacy@yakuruhealth.com directly.
We acknowledge every emailed request within 5 business days and complete it within 30 days, as required by GDPR, the CCPA and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What happens after you request deletion
Data that is permanently deleted
- Your account and profile — name, email, date of birth, credentials, profile photo
- All biometric and health data — HRV, heart rate, sleep, temperature, SpO₂, activity, workouts, recovery and readiness history
- Self-reported data — journal entries, mood and wellness logs, nutrition and hydration logs
- Yakuru Brain AI coaching history and your personal AI profile
- Paired device records — Ultra Ring pairings, watch sync state, connected integrations (Apple Health, Health Connect, Strava, WHOOP and similar) and their access tokens
- Community content — posts, comments, likes and group memberships
- Coach and team data sharing grants
- Notification tokens and app usage records tied to you
Deleting your Yakuru account does not delete data held in third-party services you connected (for example Apple Health, Google Health Connect, Strava or WHOOP). Your revoked tokens stop Yakuru reading them; to remove data there, use those services directly.
Data that is retained, and for how long

Subscriptions
Deleting your Yakuru account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your store account first:
- iOS — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Yakuru → Cancel Subscription
- Android — Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Yakuru → Cancel
Prefer to export your data instead?
You can download everything we hold about you as JSON or CSV before deleting, from Settings → Data & Privacy → Download my data, or by emailing privacy@yakuruhealth.com. Exporting does not delete anything.
